Level 1 foundational co-parenting class focusing on families in transition. Parents learn skills to avoid common mistakes in an effort to work together with their co-parent for the sake of the children.

8 Hour Online Co-Parenting / Divorce Class
(Base Co-Parenting Class)
Level 1.5 extended class covers additional topics related to children and stress, dating, discipline, and support networks. Designed for parents who are required or seeking additional support in developing a mutually agreeable parenting arrangement.
Target: Divorcing, separating, never married parents or for parents seeking a modification.
Level 28 Hour OnlineHigh-Conflict Co-Parenting Class
(Co-Parenting Without Conflict)
Level 2 skills-based co-parenting class for potentially high-conflict families. These life skills teach parents how to manage emotions in order to protect their children during transition and moving forward.
Target: Divorcing, separating or never married parents in conflict or contested cases.
In the 17th Judicial Circuit of Illinois, you are required complete an Educational Program for Parents as part of a dissolution or parentage case that involves minor children. The goal of parenting education programs are to help parents understand the effects of conflict, parental relationships, and separation on children and to provide information and strategies for effective parenting.
Online Parenting Programs.com is a court approved online Educational Program for Parents for Winnebago County and Boone County pursuant to 17th Judicial Circuit General Order 4.05.
Unless otherwise directed by the Court, an attorney or Guardian ad litem, completion of the 6 hour “Level 1 Co Parenting/Divorce Class” meets the requirements of attending an Educational Program for Parents. If you have questions about which class to attend, please contact your attorney or seek clarification from the judge.
